Chapter 226 Prison Break Incident
Chapter 226 Prison Break Incident
Gloria didn't expect that after the first day of class, Umbridge would ask her to go to her office.
The office was filled with glaring pink, but seeing that face hurt my eyes even more.
"Is there a problem?"
Umbridge's smile was less malicious, it seemed that there was something she really wanted to know.
The other party seemed very friendly and pointed to a chair, "Sit down, we need to talk."
Gloria sat down and waited for her question.
"Minister Fudge has learned that Miss Slytherin regularly donates to St. Mungo's Hospital," she said. "It was this act of kindness that prevented the death of a Ministry official. Mr. Bode wanted to thank you in person, but school has already started."
When Gloria heard her mention this, she understood.
"So, you asked me to come here to express your gratitude."
Umbridge's eyes sparkled. "Of course not only that. You and Mr. Longbottom discovered this anomaly very promptly. I just have one question."
"explain."
"Mr. Bode seemed to be sober after Mr. Longbottom left. Did Miss Slytherin do anything?"
According to the hospital therapist, when they went to deal with the Devil's Snare, Bode's eyesight had recovered and he could answer questions normally when the Ministry of Magic personnel arrived.
Fudge just didn't believe that Gloria had nothing to do with this.
"Although my family invented many evil curses, we also know a few special spells." Gloria was prepared to be asked about this matter. "I just didn't want to see him being assassinated again, so I used some methods to restore his sanity in advance."
Umbridge nodded thoughtfully, "As expected..."
She stared into those eyes and asked, "Did Mr. Bode say anything strange to you when he woke up?"
Gloria relaxed. "What are the weird things?"
The question was thrown back.
"For example, the reason for his hospitalization, we found that although he had regained consciousness, he still had cognitive problems."
Umbridge never looked away as she spoke.
Gloria was noncommittal, "Well...he didn't say that. He just asked me to find someone from the Ministry of Magic and told me that he had something important to report immediately, so we did."
From her expression to her tone of voice, it seemed as if these were all that happened, but Umbridge clearly didn't believe it, yet she couldn't force him to answer.
"I am pleased with Mr. Bode's dedication to the Ministry of Magic. Unfortunately, his brain is not fully recovered yet, and he reported some strange things. That's why I came to find you to find out."
Gloria curled her lips and said, "It's really hard for professor to have two positions."
Umbridge said: "Thank you, the Ministry of Magic is responsible for the public. Miss Slytherin is also a member of the British wizarding community. I have the responsibility to state this to prevent you from being influenced by wrong information."
The first purpose of looking for her was to find out whether Bode had revealed anything, and then to indirectly hope that she would not publicize the "false" information.
Gloria left after she figured it out, because she really didn't want to face this face.

Gloria went to bed early at night. She didn't know how long she had slept when the elf's voice rang out:
"Dear Miss Gloria, there is an important letter that needs to be read now."
She opened her eyes and drew aside the bed curtains, and saw the elf standing beside the bed with a letter in his hand.
"problem occurs?"
The elf nodded, "It seems so. The gentleman who sent the letter is more serious than usual."
Gloria opened the letter and frowned when she saw the contents.
Miss Slytherin:
The Dementors in Azkaban rebelled and helped a Death Eater criminal escape.
The Ministry of Magic is now in a state of emergency. Many Aurors have gone to Azkaban to take over the custody there. It has been confirmed that ten Death Eaters have escaped. Among them, the more important ones are the Lestrange couple, Rookwood, Trevor, Dolohov, etc. The situation is very serious.
Fortunately, the Aurors on duty in Azkaban controlled the situation in time, otherwise more criminals would have successfully escaped, and those fugitives obviously had someone to pick them up.
The Ministry of Magic has made such a big move that it cannot be concealed. Fudge is still trying to figure out how to deal with the reporters. The newspapers will report this big news tomorrow.
Some people in the Ministry of Magic believed that the mysterious man had returned, but Fudge was still quibbling. He decided to use his power as minister regardless of the consequences. Both the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts would be affected.
——Your partner
Gloria put the letter aside and found the two-way mirror to contact Sirius.
He hadn't slept yet at this hour, and soon the call from over there was answered.
"What's wrong Leah?"
Gloria said with a serious expression, "Something bad has happened, Sirius. Ten serious criminals have escaped from Azkaban, and the Dementors have also rebelled."
"What?!" Sirius couldn't believe it. "How did you know?"
Gloria lied without blinking, "Lucius told me that although he was transferred to another department, he still has a few connections. He told me first because he didn't know your address."
This lie was very true. Lucius really did not know the location of the Order of the Phoenix or the current addresses of the others, and Sirius had never contacted him.
Sirius was so shocked that he didn't know where to put his hands. "But... can't you control the Dementors? How could they rebel?"
"I can command them, but only in person." Gloria explained helplessly, "I can't control them remotely. It's been a long time since I last commanded them. Their instincts only want to absorb the magical products of happiness, and they don't remember long."
Sirius scratched his hair anxiously, "I have to tell Dumbledore right away. Thank you Leah, this news is so important!"
Gloria said: "Even if I don't tell you, other people in the Order of the Phoenix will tell you. The entire Ministry of Magic is alarmed by this matter."
The conversation ended quickly here and she lay back down on the bed.
Golinia said, "Go to sleep. It's no use thinking about it now. You are still a student."
Gloria pulled the quilt up to cover herself, "Let's see what excuse Fudge will come up with this time."
No matter how chaotic it was outside, she fell asleep peacefully.
Early the next morning——
Gloria was dressed and waiting in the lounge. She sat on the sofa without moving, with her eyes lowered, as if she was thinking about something.
Students passing by did not dare to disturb her or say hello.
Draco came out and saw her sitting on the sofa in a daze, "Lori?"
Gloria saw him, took his arm and walked out.
Instead of going to the auditorium, they stopped somewhere where there were no people and portraits.
"Something has happened. Your father should be writing to you soon. The Dementors in Azkaban have rebelled, and ten Death Eater criminals have escaped."
"That's Azkaban, and there are Dementors..." Draco hesitated and said, "Can he persuade the Dementors?"
"It seems to be true." Gloria kept an eye on the surroundings. "This matter cannot be concealed. There must be a report in the morning. I guess the school will restrict discussion of related matters. The opportunity I've been waiting for may have come."
She added, "By the way, when I talked to Sirius about this last night, I said it was your father who gave you the letter. Remember to cover up the lie."
Draco nodded, "Okay, I'll write a letter and send it back while I'm in the Great Hall."
The two hurried to the auditorium, waiting to see how today's Daily Prophet would report this major event.
