Chapter 2460 - 1086: Loud Conspiracy (Part 2)
Their figures vanished almost simultaneously, with almost no difference in timing. When they appeared again, they were already around the Burning Flames Queen, one holding a Dagger in a normal grip and the other in a reverse grip, two Sharp Daggers in their hands, each wrapped in a different glow, representing different Strengths.
A single Demon Assassin proficient in Short-Distance Teleportation was already impossible to guard against, let alone three same-body-as-one, almost perfectly coordinated Demon Assassins, making it completely impossible to defend.
After they appeared beside the Burning Flames Queen, they immediately launched a frenzied stabbing flurry, without much flourish, only terrifying attack Speed.
The Daggers in their hands were fast to a frightening degree, as if leaving countless afterimages, turning their movements into a seamless blur.
Under normal circumstances, physical Attacks were extremely ineffective against the Burning Flames Queen; she was currently in Ghost state, with at least half the damage simply missing.
But this clearly did not apply to Taharissi; the Daggers in his hands were all wrapped in Divine Power matching his own aura—Destruction, Evil, and Chaos.
These Divine Powers eroded the very essence of the Burning Flames Queen; at the points where the Attacks landed, ripples of different colors spread out, like ink diffusing into water.
Wherever they passed, the Burning Flames Queen felt her control over that part of her Strength drastically weakened, as if that area had entered a state of Paralysis for Humans.
Boom!
The Burning Flames Queen suddenly contracted, and highly compressed Revenge Divine Power surged out from behind her.
The powerful recoil force instantly propelled her away, out of the frenzied Attack range of the three Demon Assassins.
This Six-fingered Demon Descendant was not easy prey either; Divine Power surged once more, and pairs of Demon Wings unfurled from his back. With powerful beats, they shot forward half-flying, half-running, directly pushing their Speed to a whole new realm.
However, compared to the Burning Flames Queen who had triggered an Energy Surge, they were still a notch inferior; the distance between the two sides grew wider and wider.
The three Taharissi once again activated their Short-Distance Teleportation ability, appearing precisely right in front of the Burning Flames Queen, intercepting her head-on.
Only this time, the Burning Flames Queen was prepared. Her entire body erupted with a boom, turning into a billowing, rolling cloud of Flame, surging toward them as she roared in fury: "Now it’s my turn—taste the Power of the Flame of Revenge!"
The scorching Strength burned at them while at the same time trying to drill into their bodies, unleashing the method she was best at—Soul Infusion.
"You want to control me? No way!"
The Taharissi on both flanks immediately rushed back, and the three once more merged into one body, reverting to that previous Triple Illusion state.
This time the Burning Flames Queen felt it very clearly: this Triple Illusion was not something he deliberately activated, but rather something formed by three completely different Divine Natures intertwining. They repelled each other as independent forces, yet remained interlinked.
Without a doubt, this Strength was inherited from Prince Grazte of the Ubar.
The Triple Law formed a unique Defense shield.
It had a restraining effect on the Burning Flames Queen’s abilities: not only could her Soul Infusion ability not take effect, even the Flame burning was greatly reduced in impact against Taharissi.
It wasn’t as simple as merely keeping it outside; the vortex formed by the Triple Law seemed to possess the ability to devour other Energy, directly grinding the Burning Flames Queen’s Revenge Divine Power and Power of Flames to pieces at the same time, leaving them naturally non-threatening.
Only now did the Burning Flames Queen realize where her disadvantage lay.
Although she had reshaped her physical body, it almost did nothing to help her Combat; all her methods were still the same as during her Corpse Burning Flame Spirit period.
When dealing with ordinary enemies, this state was terrifyingly strong. Whether Soul Infusion or burning, it left them with no ability to fight back.
But when facing those with Divine Power Presence, whether Soul Infusion or Flame Attacks were greatly reduced, leaving her at a loss.
As for the Revenge Divine Power, it was primarily inclined toward support, and did not particularly boost her own Combat strength by much.
It seemed she needed to forge an entirely new Combat plan, one designed specifically to deal with enemies like Taharissi.
"Stop!" Gaven appeared at just the right moment, cutting off the two sides’ Combat.
Although the other party was only an envoy of the Prince Ubar, the Combat strength he possessed already rivaled that of a Feeble Divine Power. If the fight continued, the Burning Flames Queen would be the one to suffer.
Just like during the previous meeting with the Queen of the Succubi, this time Gaven was likewise armed to the teeth.
Only, this time he was not transformed into the Giant Bone King state, but was instead using a Skeleton Giant—a Skeleton Giant infused with Undead Slaughter Divine Power.
This caused this Skeleton Giant to break through its own limits: not only did it possess forty Life Dice, it also had a Super Giant Size Body Type. Its entire form was black and red, with no visible signs of assembled parts, as though it had been converted from the Skeleton Remains of an actual Giant.
Knowing full well that his own Combat strength was insufficient and his greatest shortcoming, Gaven naturally did everything he could to compensate.
The Skeleton mech was the best clever workaround he could come up with.
Although it possessed all sorts of flaws and could be countered by certain targeted Magic,
it was at least enough to handle most situations, far better than him being able to do nothing but stand aside and watch during those High-level Divine Power confrontations.
Besides, there was no such thing as a perfect ability in this world.
Even those powerful Demon Lords always ended up being driven off the Material Plane by Mortals using countering methods.
Many times, what mattered was how these abilities were used.
"Fine." Seeing that a way out had been offered, the Burning Flames Queen naturally followed it down, directly leaving Taharissi behind and returning to Gaven’s side.
