Chapter 590: Black Technology

The car entered the mountains and stopped in front of a farmhouse in a rural village.

"Please get out. This will be your home from now on."

Xueman and An Bai got out of the car. Suppressing her humiliation, Xueman spoke respectfully. Qin Qing and Leng Yue simply nodded, exiting the vehicle like leaders on an inspection tour. They surveyed the mountain village, their heads held high and chests puffed out.

The scenery was quite pleasant, with green mountains and clear streams.

"You’re making us live in a village?" Qin Qing feigned displeasure, purely to pick a fight.

In all fairness, Kristina had arranged this place specifically to cause trouble for Qin Qing and Leng Yue. Xueman and An Bai, however, had no idea how difficult their captives could be, never expecting them to threaten self-harm.

Xueman said respectfully, "I will ask the Princess to arrange more comfortable accommodations for you."

"That’s more like it," Qin Qing said with a satisfied nod. "Now get lost. Without my and Leng Yue’s permission, no one is to set foot in our residence."

With that, she led Leng Yue into the farmhouse courtyard.

Xueman and An Bai exchanged a look, their faces deathly pale with rage.

"Let’s go," Xueman said.

An Bai didn’t move. "Sanyan Village is full of troublemakers. The Princess had us bring Qin Qing and Leng Yue here to cause them hardship. If we leave, what if the villagers start harassing them? If they’re pushed to the point of self-harm, the Princess will be in danger!"

"They won’t harm themselves over a little harassment," Xueman said coldly. "Let the villagers give them a hard time. At worst, we can just kill the troublemakers to make it up to them. Besides, Ye Xiu won’t be provoked into harming the Princess over some minor harassment from villagers; not when Qin Qing and Leng Yue’s lives are at stake."

An Bai nodded. "That makes sense. Let’s go, quickly!"

The residence was a rather exquisite, two-story wooden house with a small courtyard enclosed by a wall. Inside, however, everything was incredibly simple and crude, almost uninhabitable.

"We..."

As they entered the house, Qin Qing started to speak, but Leng Yue quickly covered her mouth. Leng Yue carefully checked every corner of the building, and only after confirming there were no listening or surveillance devices did she ask, "What were you about to say?"

Qin Qing inwardly praised Leng Yue’s caution. "We transferred at Tamwood City Airport, and our tracker was blocked after that. Ye Xiu must think the three Judicator Families are in Tamwood City. How do we notify him?"

Leng Yue smiled. "Don’t worry, my lady. The Young Master anticipated all uncertainties and made preparations."

As she spoke, she flicked her wrist, and a palm-sized Stone Mirror magically appeared in her hand. It looked like a mirror carved from marble; its surface was also stone and couldn’t reflect a thing.

"What is this? Where did you get it from?" Qin Qing asked in shock.

Leng Yue didn’t answer, instead sliding a finger across the Stone Mirror’s face. The Mirror Surface immediately lit up with a dark glow. She began writing on it with her finger.

"Young Master, my lady and I have arrived at Eternal Island. We’ve been placed in a mountain village on an island called Biluo Island, which is part of the Eternal Islands..."

Staring like a curious child, Qin Qing asked, "Is this thing a phone?"

"Sort of," Leng Yue replied perfunctorily.

Ye Xiu had been up all night lecturing Tang Bo, while An Dongye and Dong Fangbai had also stayed awake. They were all worried about Qin Qing and Leng Yue’s safety.

Just then, Ye Xiu sensed something. He flipped his right hand over, and an identical Stone Mirror appeared in his palm. The Mirror Surface flashed with a dark light, revealing a line of text.

"Holy crap, what kind of high-tech gadget is this?" Tang Bo exclaimed.

An Dongye and Dong Fangbai also leaned in curiously, having never seen a phone like it.

Ye Xiu didn’t answer, instead typing a reply, "You Ming tracked your Stone Mirror to the Luxiyang Sea Area between Tamwood City and Yaque City, where it stopped moving. Then, it moved slightly for about an hour. What happened? Is Eternal Island underwater?"

Reading Ye Xiu’s reply, Qin Qing and Leng Yue were stunned. After a moment of thought, Leng Yue recounted in detail everything they had experienced on their journey from the transfer at Tamwood City Airport to their arrival on Biluo Island.

After reading her message, Ye Xiu narrowed his eyes and murmured to himself, "The plane Qin Qing and Leng Yue were on did land in a Sea Area, so why is there an invisible island there? Could the three Judicator Families have developed some sort of black technology to shield the island from satellites? No, that’s not right. Even if they could block satellites, it would be impossible to hide it from ships sailing in that area..."

Suddenly, an insight flashed through his mind.

He immediately replied to Leng Yue, "If I’m not mistaken, the three Judicator Families must have set up a Formation around the Eternal Islands to hide their existence."

In an age of depleted Spiritual Energy, Formations were useless. But the Eternal Islands had Spiritual Energy.

Leng Yue: "What do my lady and I need to do?"

Ye Xiu thought for a moment. "For now, use the Spiritual Energy there for your Cultivation. In your free time, gather as much information as you can about Eternal Island."

Leng Yue: "Understood!"

Ye Xiu put the Stone Mirror away. At that moment, he finally understood why the Restorer Alliance had fought the three Judicator Families for millennia without ever finding Eternal Island.

So that was it. Eternal Island was hidden by a Formation. Even if ships sailed right through the area of the Eternal Islands, it would seem as if they were just sailing on the open sea. This was the magic of Formations. No wonder the Restorer Alliance could never find it.

Putting away the Stone Mirror, Leng Yue stretched lazily. "It seems the Young Master has a way to find us," she said with a smile. "We should just treat this as a vacation."

Qin Qing’s mood lightened as well. Looking around the shabby interior, she said, "If this is a vacation, we should at least get some comfortable furniture."

Leng Yue nodded. "Let’s make do for tonight and get some sleep. We can go out tomorrow to browse and buy some furniture and daily necessities," she said, glancing at her watch.

"Alright," Qin Qing agreed.

From their ’kidnapping’ until now, almost a full day and night had passed. Neither had slept, and they were truly exhausted.

In their sleep, Qin Qing and Leng Yue were jolted awake by the sound of someone banging on the gate. A look outside revealed it was now nighttime. The two got out of bed, confused, and went to open the courtyard gate. They were met by a large crowd of people standing right outside.

"What is all this about?" Qin Qing asked, puzzled.

The villagers blocking the entrance were stunned silent by the beauty of Qin Qing and Leng Yue. The men, in particular, had looks of undisguised greed and desire in their eyes.

The man leading them was middle-aged, with a face full of fat and a belly so large he resembled the legendary Pigsy. He sized them up and down unscrupulously and asked, "I’m Dong Yan, the Village Chief of Sanyan Village. Are you the two newcomers, Qin Qing and Leng Yue?"

"That’s right. Do you need something?" Qin Qing asked with a nod.

"For outsiders like you to settle in our village, you have to make a gesture of goodwill. You understand my meaning, don’t you?" Dong Yan asked.

Qin Qing and Leng Yue exchanged a look. They finally understood why Kristina had them sent to this specific village. Judging by the lecherous and hostile expressions on the faces of the Village Chief and the other villagers, this was not a very reputable place.

"And what kind of gesture would you consider appropriate?" Qin Qing asked with a smile that didn’t reach her eyes.
