Urban Soldier Young Master

Chapter 955 - 954: Yuan He

Chapter 955 - 954: Yuan He

For a situation like this, He Qing was truly speechless, but speechless or not, since the opponent didn't speak to her at all, she just had to fight. As the saying goes, an expert can tell with just one move. As the fight began, He Qing immediately discovered that this guy was absurdly strong.

But since it had come to this, He Qing had no choice but to give it her all and try her best to hold this guy off.

After all, she had followed Chu Ge here. She saw it with binoculars, the young man standing beside was Chu Ge's target for today. She believed Chu Ge must be nearby, maybe if she held on a little longer, Chu Ge would show up.

Unfortunately, there was still quite a gap between He Qing and the opponent's strength. Even though her purpose was to stall for time while maneuvering around the opponent, she quickly found herself in a perilous situation.

A flash of cold light, and He Qing's arm got slashed, crimson blood flowed out, spreading over the sleeve of her white shirt.

With a ripping sound, the tip of a knife grazed He Qing's chest. Fortunately, she retreated quickly. The slash only tore her clothing. Had she moved a bit slower, she might have completely lost the ability to fight, becoming a lamb to the slaughter.

He Qing's breathing was already chaotic. It was the first time she had been this miserable in her life.

She didn't know how much longer she could hold on, nor when Chu Ge would appear. Common sense told her that she shouldn't keep fighting; she wasn't a match for him. If she didn't leave, she might die here in the next second.

However, always the rational one, she made a foolish decision at this moment, which was to keep gritting her teeth and persist, to buy more time for Chu Ge.

Even though she wasn't a hundred percent sure if Chu Ge was really nearby, or if her persistence had any real meaning or value.

"Boom!"

A heavy kick landed on He Qing's stomach, she staggered back a few steps, trying hard to maintain her balance. But unfortunately, a stone was there, almost as if it was meant to trip her, and she stepped on it. She immediately fell backward.

Pain, severe pain. It wasn't just the pain of her back hitting the ground; all her internal organs seemed to be trembling as well.

Her vision darkened, and a metallic taste rose in her throat, a trickle of blood seeped from the corner of her mouth.

Her blurred vision became clear once more, that was the sky overhead, azure, pure, infinite.

Right then, He Qing heard an icy declaration.

"Die!"

Seeing the glint of the knife tip, He Qing wanted to dodge, but her body didn't seem to obey her.

Is she really going to die here like this? What a regretful life! She hadn't even told him that she loved him…

He Qing closed her eyes, her lips curled into a slight self-mocking smile, so poignantly beautiful that it was dazzling.

Thud!

The sound of a blade piercing flesh echoed, and He Qing's body suddenly trembled. She wasn't as composed as she thought, in a split second, she was tense to the extreme.

Was the knife too fast, so there wasn't any immediate pain?

Drip.

Drip drip…

Clang!

Sounds like that hit her ears again, and He Qing suddenly opened her eyes.

Within her line of sight, the man who had just been forcing her into a corner was now wide-eyed, struggling slightly to raise his head, casting a horrified gaze forward. Both of his hands slowly rose, his left hand reaching toward his neck, while his right hand pointed in the direct line of sight.

A Butterfly Knife was abruptly embedded in his neck, only the hilt was exposed outside, blood continuously gushed out, dripping in lines onto the ground, dyeing the area around He Qing as well as the Butterfly Knife that should have claimed her life a bright red.

Soon, the horror in his eyes turned to unwillingness and despair, his body swayed slightly, and with a "thud" he fell to the ground.

"Who! Who!"

Li Zheming screamed in terror, but He Qing laughed. Besides him, who else could it be?

Luckily, this foolish persistence wasn't in vain.

He Qing supported the ground with her hand, barely propped her body up, and turned to look around.

When the sight of Chu Ge appeared in her vision, her smile broadened, she let out a long breath of relief, and then her consciousness blurred, her eyelids became unbearably heavy, and she fainted.

The exact same scene played out in Li Zheming's eyes, but his reaction was completely different. He looked as if he had seen a ghost, his pupils contracted sharply, his mouth opened but as if someone had grabbed him by the throat, he couldn't utter a word, and could only instinctively step back.

One step, two steps, three steps…

Suddenly, Li Zheming rushed toward the unconscious He Qing. If he used her as a hostage, he might still have a slim chance of survival!

Swish!

A whooshing sound tore through the air, a stone hit Li Zheming hard on the forehead, his head burst into a bloody mess, and he cried out in pain, clutching his head.

"If you don't want to die here right now, you'd better not move."

Chu Ge's voice was calm, yet it carried a commanding power, echoing at the foot of this deserted mountain.

Li Zheming didn't dare to move at all; he didn't doubt Chu Ge's words, not in the slightest.

If he continued to approach He Qing or turned to flee, Chu Ge might throw something at him again, and it would be far more dangerous than just a stone. After all, Chu Ge still had a blood-stained Butterfly Knife in his hand.

Despite Chu Ge looking so miserable—his steps staggering, his whole body stained with blood, seemingly ready to collapse at any moment—Li Zheming was utterly in despair. In his eyes, Chu Ge was like a god of death!

Chu Ge walked slowly, getting closer to Li Zheming. However, when they were less than ten meters apart, the roar of a vehicle suddenly came from afar.

It was an unassuming white pickup truck, accelerating fully, kicking up clouds of dust on the dirt road.

As the pickup appeared, a black pistol extended from the driver's side window, silencer attached, aimed right in Chu Ge's direction.

Chu Ge's pupils constricted, and he dashed towards Li Zheming. Judging by this, the people in the car were likely reinforcements for Li Zheming again!

Having gone through so much effort to catch up to Li Zheming, how could he let him be rescued so easily?

Even though the opponent had a gun, given the distance between them and the bumps of the pickup, hitting him wouldn't be so easy!

But just as Chu Ge made a move, a gunshot rang out in the air. Though muffled by a silencer, the sound was even more chilling, like a venomous snake suddenly darting from a mottled forest.

The bullet hit the ground a step ahead of Chu Ge, sparking a blinding flash.

As Chu Ge took another step forward, another bullet whizzed out, hitting again just a step ahead of him.

Chu Ge stopped. If the first shot was a coincidence, the second one could no longer be explained as such.

The person in the car was clearly warning Chu Ge, forbidding him from going any further!

At this moment, Li Zheming was already crouched on the ground, holding his head, screaming incessantly, his body trembling violently.

In just a few seconds, the white pickup had driven up beside Li Zheming.

The car door opened with a "clang," and a young man got out—wearing sunglasses, chewing gum, dressed in a white suit with matching white shoes, standing over one meter eighty tall, and with a face as handsome as an idol star.

Yuan He spun the handgun with his left finger, completely ignoring Chu Ge across from him, casually glancing at Li Zheming, and lazily asked, "Are you Li Zheming?"

Li Zheming hadn't yet recovered from the previous fright, still trembling with his hands over his head, screaming incessantly.

Yuan He scratched his head and suddenly, without warning, kicked Li Zheming, making him tumble over with his hands crossed protectively over his head. "Don't, don't kill me, don't..."

Yuan He rolled his eyes impatiently and asked, "Kid, answer me. Tell me, are you Li Zheming?"

After getting out of the car, Yuan He had been speaking Mandarin, but this question was in Korean.

Li Zheming was stunned, then timidly looked at Yuan He, "I... I am. Are you... Are you here to save me?"

"Ah, I am." Yuan He smirked and nodded.

"Great, that's great." The fear in Li Zheming's eyes slowly turned to delight, and he swiftly stood up from the ground, looking at Chu Ge, "Kill him! Help me kill him!"

Yuan He finally looked over at Chu Ge, lazily spinning the gun with his left finger, a wicked smile on his handsome face.

Suddenly, Yuan He pressed the gun barrel against Li Zheming's forehead.

Li Zheming was immediately dumbfounded, the delight in his eyes turning back into terror.

"Scared?" Yuan He nudged Li Zheming's head with the gun, "Don't just stand there, say something."

"What... what do you want? Weren't you here to save me? You..."

"Bang!"

Yuan He made a sound mimicking a gunshot with his mouth, and Li Zheming let out a horrific scream, his eyes rolling back as he fainted in fear.

"Pathetic, for someone like Hutai to have such a useless son as you? So many people died, why are you still alive?"

Yuan He looked down at Li Zheming with disdain, shook his head, kicked him aside, and casually tossed the gun back through the car window.

Yuan He turned to look at Chu Ge, questioning unhurriedly, "Did you kill Jin Haohun?"

Chu Ge nodded.

Yuan He pinched the bridge of his nose, pointing to the man lying next to He Qing with his finger, "Did you kill him too?"

Chu Ge nodded again.

Yuan He took a long deep breath, twisting his neck while a series of popping and cracking sounds echoed, then looked up at the desolate mountain.

"Besides him, there should have been a few more people coming to save Li Zheming, right? Where are they? Did you kill them too?"

Chu Ge nodded once more.

Yuan He rubbed his face with both hands, exerting great force.

When he lowered his hands, his eyes were slightly red, but he suddenly smiled at Chu Ge—a bright and radiant smile.
