Chapter 30 Zetton vs. Death Scythe
Chapter 30 Zetton vs. Death Scythe
When Duolue received the call, a sense of unease rose in his heart. He could hear the urgency and tension in the voice on the other end, who claimed to be tracking aliens.
Duo Lue's heart skipped a beat, and he immediately realized that this might be a trap. He calmly inquired about the other party's identity and location, while his mind raced, trying to devise a countermeasure.
The person on the other end of the phone identified herself as Ms. Masatoko, and said she was near the construction site where Naomi used to work.
Duolue immediately understood the other party's intention. He hung up the phone, a cold smile appearing on his face. He knew this was a trick by the Zettonians, trying to lure him over as bait. But he didn't intend to let them succeed; instead, he decided to play along.
Duolue arrived at the construction site alone and soon encountered Ms. Madoko. She seemed nervous and wary, asking if he was from the SSP. Duolue simply replied, "Yes." The two then continued on together, eventually arriving at a dimly lit basement of a building.
In a small corner of the basement, they discovered Hyper Zetton's Death Scythe. This monster was very similar to Hyper Zetton, except its hands had turned into scythes. Lance knew that the Death Scythe was the Zetton family monster most similar to Hyper Zetton, and if he combined it with his current powerful Zetton abilities, he could transform into Hyper Zetton.
However, just as Duolue was intently observing the Death Scythe, Zhen Duzi suddenly attacked. Taking advantage of Duolue's momentary lapse in attention, she forcibly bound him. At this moment, Zhen Duzi's voice turned cold and cruel; she mocked Duolue for his lack of vigilance and for falling so easily into her trap. She told Duolue that even if he screamed until his throat was hoarse, no one would come to save him.
Tied up in the basement, facing the powerful monster Death Scythe and surrounded by the ruthless enemy, Mako, Doroki knew he was in an extremely dangerous situation, but he didn't lose his composure.
When Duolue was bound, there was no trace of panic on his face; instead, he appeared unusually calm. A hint of mockery lingered in his eyes, as if he knew everything before him.
Shinji, or rather, the Zettonian, continued to mock him, claiming that Doroki was just an ordinary rich man who was of no value to him.
However, just as the Zettonian thought he had succeeded, Duolue revealed his true strength. He used his teleportation ability to easily break free of his restraints, as if the ropes were nothing more than decorations to him.
His appearance stunned the Zettonian. Duolue smiled and said, "What behavior made you think I was unsuspecting and had fallen into your trap? It's not that I fell into your trap, but that you fell into mine, right, Zettonian?"
Mako curled her lip, abandoning her disguise and reverting to her Zettonian form. She sneered, "You found out, but what can you do about it?"
As she transformed, the Death Scythe returned to its original enormous size. The Zettonian roared, "Why did you ruin my plans? I'll kill you!"
Despite his lack of fear, he even joked, "No matter how many times I see them, I still think the Zettonians are ugly. They remind me of Plankton from SpongeBob SquarePants. Can't they change their appearance?"
His humor and composure infuriated the Zettonians, but also eased the tense atmosphere somewhat.
The Zettonian said, "Die!"
The Zettonian's rage erupted like a volcano. He wielded the Death Scythe and launched a massive fireball straight towards the enemy. The fireball, carrying the force to destroy everything, crashed into the ground, creating a huge crater.
Smoke and dust billowed, blurring visibility. The Zettonian thought that the thief had been engulfed by the fireball, and a sense of smugness rose in his heart.
However, Duolue was not so easily defeated. Just a second before the fireball hit, he used his teleportation ability to instantly move next to the Zettonian.
Before the Zettonian could react, Duolue had already landed a powerful punch on him, causing serious injury.
Immediately afterwards, Duolue used teleportation again, taking the Zetonians away from the collapsing basement to continue their battle.
Duolue scoffed, "Does this power even deserve to be called Zetton? What a load of rubbish you, a Zettonian." His words were full of contempt and disdain, as if he didn't take the Zettonians' strength seriously at all.
The Zettonian responded angrily: "Who in the entire universe doesn't know that Zetton is a biological weapon specially made by us Zettonians? How arrogant! Do you think you do if I don't understand?" His words carried a hint of resentment and doubt. He didn't understand why Duolue was so confident.
Duolue smiled, flicked a Zetton card from his pocket, and said, "Sorry, I actually know a little about this. Go, my Zetton." As he spoke, the Zetton card emitted a dazzling light, and a powerful Zetton monster appeared before him.
In fact, the one who understands Zetton best is not the Raiders, but the Baltan aliens.
As the restraints on the Zetton card were released, a torrent of violent energy erupted, filling the entire space with powerful fluctuations. The Zettonian sensed this energy and his expression changed drastically. He realized that the Zetton before him was no weaker than his Death Scythe, and might even be more powerful.
Before Deathscythe could react, Zetton had already launched its attack. It fired a fireball, aiming straight for Deathscythe's handsome face. The fireball struck, unleashing a tremendous sound and a burst of light. Deathscythe was hit and roared in pain.
The Zettonian accused Duolue in surprise: "You launched a sneak attack, you shameless bastard!" His voice was filled with anger and resentment.
Duolue smiled and replied, "How can this be considered a sneak attack? You tied me up with rope first, this is called self-defense." His words revealed a hint of mockery, "There is no right or wrong in the world, only strength and weakness, and strength is justice."
The Zettonian retorted, "You can teleport away from the ropes yourself, and I didn't even manage to attack you." He was trying to make excuses for his failure.
Duolue, however, did not intend to dwell on the matter any longer. He said, "Uh... enough of the nonsense." After saying that, he transformed into a miniature Black Di and rushed towards the Zetonian, launching another attack and injuring him.
Duolue stood before the Zetonians and said, "Come, let's watch the battle." His tone was full of confidence and composure.
The Zettonian responded angrily, "Damn it, I'm a professionally trained individual. You actually managed to injure me when this human transformed into a black guy. Is this something a rich guy like you could do? I have a feeling you're hiding something." His words revealed a hint of surprise and admiration.
Duolue did not answer; he simply smiled, his eyes gleaming with unwavering determination.
The Raiders and the Zettonians, two sworn enemies, have miraculously reached a truce at this moment, watching together the fierce battle between the Zettonians and the Death Scythe. They both know that the outcome of this battle will have a significant impact on the entire situation.
In space, Zetton and Death Scythe moved at incredible speeds, almost impossible to see with the naked eye. Each teleportation was accompanied by an energy burst, like a high-speed chase unfolding in space. These two enormous figures appeared and disappeared against the dark background, as if they were a bug in a game, making it all seem unbelievable.
Zetton, having been enhanced by a monster, demonstrated its power, maintaining a prolonged fighting state without the cooldown that Death Scythe experiences. As time passed, Death Scythe gradually fell into a disadvantageous position. In an attempt to end the battle quickly, Death Scythe began firing beams, trying to defeat Zetton in one fell swoop.
Seeing this, Duolue immediately commanded his Zetton: "If you want to end the battle with a beam of light, then I will grant your wish, my Zetton, fire the beam."
Zetton responded in kind, unleashing a powerful beam that collided with the Death Scythe's beam, creating a spectacular sight.
In the distance, Hong Kai witnessed this scene. He saw Zhiton's figure, and painful memories from 100 years ago instantly flooded his mind.
At that time, he was still fighting Zetton in his original form when an explosion occurred, and he mistakenly believed that he had killed his girlfriend Natasha. That incident became a pain he could never erase, and it was also the reason he lost his original form.
Hong Kai's feelings were complicated. He looked at the battle in front of him, feeling both painful memories of the past and helplessness and anger about the present.
Upon seeing Zetton, Gai's rage ignited instantly. He transformed in a flash, entering his Blazing Mode. His body was filled with fury and power as he unleashed a fireball aimed directly at the two Zettons. However, due to the intense battle between the two Zettons, Gai's fireball was deflected.
Unwilling to give up, Kai walked up to Dorothy and Zetton, and the two of them each fired several fireballs, sending Orb flying. Then, they teleported to a distance and continued their beam clash as if Orb didn't exist.
Kai felt helpless; he knew he couldn't break the deadlock on his own. So, he decided to ask for help: "I have no other choice, Jack-senpai, Zero-senpai, please lend me your power."
After saying that, Gai transformed into his Gale form and joined the battle, successfully interrupting the beam clash between the two Zettons.
The two Zettons teleported again, with Orb following closely behind. Upon seeing Orb, the Death Scythe immediately triggered its mechanism, as it was created specifically to destroy Orb.
The scene suddenly became very strange, and Zetton even provoked Death Scythe, saying, "You think you can call yourself Hyper Zetton? Die!"
And so, what was originally a battle between two monsters inexplicably turned into a chaotic free-for-all of three people fighting one-on-one. Zetton hammered Death Scythe, Death Scythe attacked Orb, and Orb retaliated against Zetton, creating a constantly looping battle pattern.
In the midst of the fierce battle, a child and his mother happened to pass by. Pointing to the scene of the battle, the child innocently said to his mother, "Mom, I think I've discovered a real-life perpetual motion machine." His words were full of curiosity and surprise, and he found the unimaginable battle before him unbelievable.
At the same time, the three useless members of SSP also came over. Looking at the melee, they muttered to themselves in confusion, "Is this a new way of fighting?"
Their faces were filled with confusion and bewilderment, curious about this unprecedented mode of combat.
Duolue, on the other hand, wore a smug expression as he watched Red Kai being attacked by his Zetton, who mistook him for a Demon Lord of Light.
He laughed and said, "It seems that my Zetton has mistaken Red Kai for a Demon Lord Beast of Light, but my Zetton is much stronger than a Demon Lord Beast of Light." His words revealed a hint of pride and satisfaction.
Zetton, tired of the three-way melee, unleashed another powerful beam of light, aiming directly at Death Scythe. Just then…
The system notification sounded: "Detected that the Death Scythe can plunder 100% of its power. Plunder?" Without hesitation, Duolue replied: "Yes, Plunder ability activated."
As soon as he finished speaking, the Death Scythe vanished, turning into a card. Then Zetton also disappeared, reverting to a card and returning to the Thief's hand. He fused the two cards, Zetton and Death Scythe, to create a brand new legendary Hyper Zetton.
This Hyper Zetton is exactly the same strength as the Hyper Zetton that Saga fought. It has wings on its back and can fly freely.
It's not like those mass-produced Hyper Zettons that the new generation of monsters use as cannon fodder, easily wiped out by a direct beam attack. Thus, the third ace monster of the raid was born.
Duolue looked at his masterpiece with satisfaction and said with a smile, "It's good that the whole family is together. Today's harvest is quite good." Then, he casually turned the Zetton alien next to him into a card, making it disappear.
Orb had exhausted too much energy in the fierce battle, and the red light began to flash, warning that his energy was about to run out.
His body gradually weakened, eventually collapsing to the ground. As the transformation ended, his body turned into a beam of light and vanished into the air.
Hong Kai, the former warrior, now sat exhausted in a chair. His eyes were filled with killing intent, but even more so with helplessness and frustration.
Jugglus Juggler, Gai's old rival, happened to be taking a walk by at that moment. Looking at Gai's disheveled appearance, he couldn't help but mock, "You're really in a sorry state, Gai."
Upon hearing this, Hong Kai's murderous intent intensified. He questioned, "Jugglus, did you orchestrate this Zetton incident?" His voice was filled with suspicion and anger; he couldn't believe it was all just a coincidence.
Jugglus Juggler smiled calmly and replied, "This is none of my business." With that, he turned and left, intending to find a way to obtain the Belial Card and break the final seal on Maga Orochi.
Kai watched Jugglus Juggler's departing figure, his doubts deepening. He knew that Jugglus Juggler had always wanted greater power, and this incident was likely related to him. But he currently lacked evidence and the strength to investigate.
