Chapter 201: Dungeon Finale

Chapter 201: Dungeon Finale

{Rel's POV}

[The Abyssal Dungeon - The Sanctuary Of Sin]

FWANG!

[Quest Complete!]

[Rewards: 25.00+ Stamina, 25.00+ Health, Mana Upgrade 1+, All Stats Refreshed, 25,000 BP, ???]

It hurts!

Everything's over, but my head... I need to rest-

WOM!

[The following statuses have been recovered: Stamina, HP, Mana, and Aura]

"...!"

A wave of energy washed over me, restoring every depleted stat and all exhaustion.

haah...

Holy shit, that headache what just happened to me?

I was going through it all but I guess it's all done.

Never mind resting then.

I regained all my composure and took a deep breath in.

huuu...haah...

So that's what "all stats refreshed" meant.

If the system kept handing out quests with this perk, I was happy to go all out from the start.

No point in conserving energy.

But I was curious... what did those question marks in the rewards mean?

It had to be something special.

Since there was no way I was 'just' getting normal rewards, after defeating an Ancient Arch Bishop.

Especially one with the dark elemental attribute.

Those kinds of users are essentially counters to most elemental attributes.

[Transfering All Rewards... Complete!]

FWANG!

[The Following Base Stats Have Been Upgraded:]

>Health: 107.5 >>> 132.5 (25.00+)

>Strength: 101 >>> 101 (00.00)

>Stamina: 75.5 >>>100.5 (25.00+)

>Speed: 74 >>> 74 (00.00+)

If this was the reward I received for defeating Maledictus, then I wouldn't complain.

Not one bit.

...

...

The depths of the Abyssal Dungeon were a relentless gauntlet of challenges.

Each chamber I entered presented a new puzzle, a hidden trap, or a ferocious monster.

I navigated this damned dungeon, solving countless riddles etched into ancient stone and battling packs of creatures I had never seen before.

Luckily, I figured there was only one mini-boss and one main boss in this presumably high-graded dungeon.

Though there was no confirmation of its grade, I simply assumed it would be.

My abilities, as usual, proved invaluable. I was getting better at anticipating attacks with each encounter, and my utilization of mana and aura had improved significantly.

But it wasn't easy.

I faced a colossal serpent with scales the color of decaying flesh, its body riddled with open sores that oozed corrosive venom.

Without a quest for this monster, I relied on mitigation, aura and the finisher: divine severance to kill it.

As I progressed, I stumbled upon even more monsters.

I fought countless Crimson Paladins, fallen knights in armor stained crimson with the blood of their victims, wielding corrupted greatswords and shields adorned with twisted symbols of justice.

Towards the end, it grew even more difficult.

I encountered Mana-Scarred Ursines, bears that negated the effects of mana.

Their presence was strange in this seemingly unholy dungeon of the abyss, but perhaps it somehow related to the theme?

Despite the struggle, I persevered, upgrading parts of my sword and bow mastery along the way.

I was driven by the promise of rewards and the knowledge that I was altering the course of the story.

...

...

...

As I paused to catch my breath, wiping off the remaining blood stains off my face with a ragged cloth I found near the end of the hallway I glanced at my smartwatch.

To my surprise, it read 1:20 PM. Only two hours had passed since I left my dorm at 11:20 AM.

So, time flows differently in dungeons? That explains why adventurers can spend days, even weeks, exploring these places without aging.

But the rest would have to wait. Right before me were the doors to the boss's room.
