’I have to make some plans regarding Derek,’ he thought, staring up at the ceiling. ’Even if the chances are slim, I need to make sure I’m prepared to get backstabbed.’

He didn’t think Derek would actually dare to do something obvious—after all, activating his mana would instantly trigger the recording bots. Still, Logan knew better than to let his guard down.

Looking at the system interface above him, Logan noticed the timer had reached zero.

’I could redeem something right now,’ he thought, before quickly shaking his head. ’No, I have to save until my breakthrough.’

Glancing back at the ceiling, Logan let out a quiet breath and shook his head again.

’This dungeon will be a real test,’ he thought. ’I need to prepare for monsters, traps... even my own supposed allies.’
