Chapter 1098: The Counterattack Begins [Part 1]
"That's it!" Kasogonaga, who was already fed up with dodging, casually placed the two girls on the ground and lunged at Zabab, rolling into a ball. "Let's fight!"
Although the Anteater was usually mild-mannered and very polite, he wasn't the type to shy away from a fight, especially when he had something to protect.
At the moment, the Anteater was not fighting to protect Maple and Cinnamon.
He was fighting to protect himself from being turned into stew and eaten by the two gluttons!
Maple and Cinnamon watched this battle, not knowing if they should support Zabab or their Uncle.
As they struggled with an internal conflict with themselves, Tiruru and Ilulu appeared behind their backs and grabbed the two girls, raising them off the ground.
"Let's see where you two can run off to this time," Tiruru said in a teasing tone, sliding her long nails to caress Maple's chubby cheeks.
"The two of you will not be going anywhere." Ilulu sneered, glaring at Cinnamon, who even took the time to put a gummy bear inside her mouth and chew on it without a care in the world.
"Um, I think both of you should let us go while you still can," Maple said, looking at Tiruru and Ilulu with pity.
"Yeah... you should let us go now," Cinnamon said, looking a little scared as she looked at the person behind Ilulu.
Seeing that the two girls were finally looking fearful, the two Progenitors flashed their most devilish smiles.
They were about to use their nails to cut a wound on the two girls' cheeks, so they would become more fearful of them.
A second later, both of their heads were severed off their bodies... at least, that was what flashed before their eyes.
The two Progenitors then felt the presence of someone behind their back, making their hearts turn cold.
"Release my granddaughters while I'm still asking nicely."
An Old Man, who was sitting on the back of an eight-legged horse, said calmly.
Maple and Cinnamon looked fearfully at their Grandfather, who was now oozing with killing intent.
They knew that their grandpa spoiled the two of them very much, so seeing him very angry made them feel extremely guilty.
A bead of sweat streamed down the side of Tiruru's face as she stood frozen in place.
She didn't dare to turn her head to look at the person behind her back nor did she dare to hurt the little girl in her grasp.
The Progenitor knew with utmost certainty that the moment that she even thought of harming the little girl, her head would be separated from her body faster than she could blink.
Ilulu felt the same, so she gently and slowly lowered Cinnamon to the ground, not daring to even ruffle her cute dress.
When the two gluttons were finally safe, the two of them ran toward their Grandpa, who could only shake his head helplessly due to how brazen his two granddaughters were.
"How about the two of you start explaining what happened here?" James asked Tiruru and Ilulu while hugging his Granddaughters, who were trying to act spoiled in his arms.
A few seconds later, the realm once again shook, and the crack on the sky spread like spiderwebs, threatening to fall at any moment.
The Progenitors of the Plague Faction looked at this scene in disbelief.
There had been many occasions when they had caused this effect to happen in other worlds.
But they never thought it would be happening in their home world, that all of them treated as their main headquarters.
As if no longer able to defend against whatever that was attacking it from the outside, the Sky of the Akkadian Realm collapsed.
A giant hole appeared in the sky, and from that hole, an Ancient City emerged.
"I'm a very civil person."
A voice colder than ice reached the ears of every living creature in the Akkadian Realm.
"So why don't we all settle this peacefully with some violence?"
Ethan, whose gaze had locked on to the capsule where his wife was being held, said with barely-contained killing intent.
The Progenitors and their Armies, who had attacked Midgard earlier, trailed behind Atlantis. They all looked at the Progenitors of the Plague Faction with conflicted looks on their faces.
However, if they wanted to live, they would have to honor their word to Ethan that they would help him wipe out the Plague Faction from the face of the multiverse.
Seeing the vast army that had arrived at their doorstep uninvited, Zabab snorted and raised
his hand towards the sky.
"Rally to me!" Zabab roared.
As if answering his call, the Will of the World manifested and summoned all the creatures under their command.
Portals also appeared behind Zabab as he called for reinforcements from the worlds they had
conquered in the past.
Zorathul, the Gargoyle Progenitor, stared at Ethan angrily. There was not a single being he hated in the world more than the young man who snatched his home world away from him.
But, Ethan paid him no mind.
His gaze was focused on his unconscious wife, who was currently protected by Ilulu and
Tiruru.
Sensing that she was safe, Ethan was finally able to feel relieved. As long as his wife was unharmed, he would not let anyone cause harm to her anymore-not under his gaze. "Go," Ethan ordered. "Fulfill your Oaths if you all don't want to die. Just make sure that none
of you accidentally hit my wife, or all of you might also accidentally die a gruesome death, okay?"
After giving his orders, the six-armed Demon Lord, Malrith, and the four-faced Rullion, led the charge toward the Progenitors of the Akkadian Realm, who didn't expect that someone would dare to invade their world at this point in time.
